WP All Import PRO WordPress Plugin Free Download

WP All Import PRO (PREMIUM) WordPress Plugin – By using the WP All Import plugin , you can load large amounts of data from XML and CSV files into your blog very quickly. Our affiliate Ilya Ponomarenko has prepared a step-by-step guide for posting pages on the blog with searches for flights and maps of hotels in different cities.

WP All Import is the best WordPress plugin in its niche for importing XML, XLS, which can, for example, be used to synchronize the WooCommerce product catalog with 1C data.

Importing Products in WooCommerce

WP All Import can work with all product types supported by WooCommerce, i.e. they are simple products, variable, external partner and virtual download products. In this example, I am working with external affiliate products and uploading an XML feed, or rather a YML feed (a feed from Yandex Market) to WooCommerce.

On the screen, you can see that I have selected the file and click the Next button. In the next step, I select the element in the XML element tree that contains information about the product. In this case, it’s an offer. After I select this element, WP All Import shows me that there are 484 products in my XML file and immediately shows the information that is contained for each product. We see that our product information consists of:

  • Categories;
  • Currency (in our case, rubles);
  • Product description;
  • Model;
  • Prices;
  • Product parameters. Parameters will vary from product to product. In this case, this is the type of mechanism, decor, article, color, length, depth, height, upholstery material, filler, frame material. For each product, the number of parameters can be arbitrary.

It also contains a link to the product image, a discounted price, a product prefix (in this case, a leather chair, model Bristol), a URL to an external partner product, and a vendor.

Description of goods in the catalog

Then, if we, for example, need to import only leather chairs, click the Next button. WP All Import shows us the following window where we can fill in the preliminary product information. Let’s fill in the title.

I want my title to be formed from several fields. Let this be the product prefix and model, separated by a dash. You can add any number of characters. In the description field, I’ll drop the product description. Here you can also click the Preview button (preview) and see how the information about our product will look like.

You can see that the name is formed from the prefix (Leather chair) and the model name (Bristol) and the description of the product is immediately presented. If it suits me, then I can click the Next button.

Importing products and their settings

WP All Import supports the import of any information from CSV and XML files in principle to WordPress. In other words, I can import information like posts, pages, WooCommerce products, orders, forms, portfolios, sliders. In this case, I’m interested in importing into the WooCommerce catalog, so I select the WooCommerce Products tab, then I start to generate information about my product.

Here you can choose when to import. Those. if I want all the products that I import now to be published immediately, then I specify the publication date now (now).

If you are importing several thousand products at once and do not want them all to appear in the catalog at once for reasons that the search engine may not understand correctly – suddenly 10 thousand pages appear on the new site at one time, then you can specify the dates during which the publication of your products is scheduled. For example, if I want to publish these products in the catalog starting today and ending at the end of November, then I simply indicate on the calendar the dates when I want them to be published.

WP All Import will automatically distribute products by time, between the dates I choose. Here you can also select the status of the post, ie. you can choose to have products published now, publish as drafts, and you can enable or disable comments.

Product properties

Next, we turn to the main properties of the product. In our case, this will be an external affiliate product. Optionally, you can fill in the article number field or leave it blank. If you don’t assign anything to this field, then WooCommerce will automatically generate a custom SKU.

If you are working with an external partner product, then it does not matter to you what the article of the product will be. And in order not to bother with this, you can leave this field blank.

In the product link field, we indicate a link to an external partner product. In the “Button Text” field, you can customize the text that will be displayed on the button – it can be “more” or “add to cart”. In this case, I’ll write the text “add to cart”.

In the price field (Regular Price (RUB) we simply drag and drop data from the corresponding fields of our CSV or XML file. WP All Import will automatically display the information according to the criteria you set in the filters section. In my case, these are 9 armchairs, which are under the heading “Leather chairs”.

Product category

Next, I specify the category of goods by simply dragging categoryid. If you wish, if you have several categories, you can add the required number of fields (click on the Add more button) and drag the necessary categories into these fields. There may be such an option when you have the same product that falls under several categories, for example, “Upholstered furniture> chairs> leather chairs”. In this case, if this information is written in this tag separated by commas or separated by some specific characters, then we can simply drag and drop and in the Separated by field you need to indicate which character separates these categories (commas, asterisks, sticks).

Then WP All Import will treat these fields as different categories and the product will belong to several categories. If you wish, you can check the Enabled Auto Nest checkbox. In this case, if our product belonged to the category of upholstered furniture, armchairs, leather armchairs, then such headings will be automatically assigned a hierarchical structure, i.e. chairs will be a child category of upholstered furniture, leather chairs will be a child category of chairs. In our case, we have a simple structure, let’s not complicate our lives and just drag the category field. I don’t use product tags.

We are also not interested in delivery classes, because this is an external partner product and, accordingly, we are not involved in assembly, delivery, and all these things. chairs will be a child category of upholstered furniture, leather chairs will be a child category of chairs. Product filtering

Also, if desired, all the parameters that interest us can be entered in the Custom Fields field for further filtering of these products. There are plugins that work with custom fields in WooCommerce that allow you to filter, search for these additional fields. In our case, we can indicate this information in a brief description of the product.

Import product images

Further, in the Featured Image & Media Gallery field, you can specify the images that will be uploaded for this product. In our case, this is this URL, plus you can specify an arbitrary number of pictures, i.e. if our XML file contains more pictures, then we can specify them in this field, each new picture starting from a new line.

Opposite the inscription “If no image are downloaded successfully, create entry as Draft” – it is best to check the box. This will allow, in case the images were not downloaded successfully, WP All Import will create the product as a draft. This will avoid the appearance of products in the catalog with broken pictures.

Downloading pictures

By checking the box next to the Download Image item, we specify that WP All Import download images. By default, WP All Import, when working with images, will try to find these images in the media library in the folder that corresponds to the month in which you are importing products. That is, if we upload pictures in November, then the search will be carried out in the “../wp-content/uploads/2014/11/..” folder.

In other words, if I load images from my computer’s hard drive, I can pre-load them into the media library, and then WP All Import won’t download them, but will directly attach them to the respective products. Why do it? This greatly speeds up the work, because if you, for example, upload pictures in high resolution and download them from a third-party server, then this may take additional time.

Import images without downloading

There is a second option – this is when WP All Import downloads images to the addresses that you specify to it. In our case, the full address of the image is indicated and I just need to drag it into the Image URLs field (each image from a new line), specify that WP All Import download images, I can also specify the title, caption and Alt text (by checking the box next to Set Image Meta Date (alt text, caption, description, title)), which is good for search engines.

In other words, our pictures will be called not just “abracadabra”, like, for example, AAA3906, but it will be a meaningful name that will be understandable to the user. Those. in this case, I want the title of the picture to consist of a prefix (leather chair) and a title (Bristol).

If desired, I can add additional fields, for example, I can specify here: length, height and depth. In this case, my signature, alt text and title will consist of information that this is a Bristol leather chair, its dimensions, respectively, length, height, depth. In other words, you can construct arbitrary structures that will provide additional information about your product. In my case, I’ll just copy the title into the caption and into the alt text.

If you wish, you can import an arbitrary number of pictures, i.e. there may be 5, 10, etc. But still, I would not recommend importing dozens or hundreds of pictures for each product. Because they still eat up space on the server, and if you are trying to download several tens of thousands of products, and each of them will have several dozen high-resolution pictures, then this, firstly, will take a lot of time, depending on the capacity of your server resources. Secondly, these pictures will take up a lot of space on your server.

Gallery import

Let’s continue, i.e. I told WP All Import which images and since each product can have multiple images, I usually go to the website of the vendor I work with and see if it is possible to import additional images for the product when working with external partner products. In this case, the image URL structure on the vendor’s website consists of the name picture 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Accordingly, in the Image URLs field, I will indicate these serial numbers, add .jpeg characters, and this will allow me to import the entire gallery of images that is for this item. Those. if we look here the full url looks like this “image_1jpg”.

The picture that follows looks exactly the same, only 2.jpeg, 3.jpeg, 4.jpeg, etc. are added at the end. Those. i replicate the base url that will be responsible for the first image, and just add serial numbers to import the rest of the pictures into the gallery.

Here (in the Set Image Meta Date (alt text, caption, description, title) field), if I import several images, I also enter the data for the rest of the images (2,3,4, etc…).

Signatures and names of pictures will be slightly different, for example, I can put the number 2 or write arbitrary text, for the next picture I will put the number 3, etc. Then I’ll copy these fields into the caption, alt text, and image description. Done with pictures. I can put the number 2 or write arbitrary text, for the next picture I will put the number 3, etc. Then I’ll copy these fields into the caption, alt text, and image description. Done with pictures. I can put the number 2 or write arbitrary text, for the next picture I will put the number 3, etc. Then I’ll copy these fields into the caption, alt text, and image description.
